“L’arte con chi ne fa parte”: Piedmont' museums tell about their protagonists
"An opportunity to get to know our beloved museums from another point of view, through the voices and the most curious stories of their protagonists": this is how Abbonamento Musei describes "L'arte con chi ne parte" (Art with those who are part of it), an initiative dedicated to Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta museums and the famous people who have in some way influenced the culture within their walls.
Among the many museums involved is the Reale Mutua Historical Museum. On Sunday 19 September, visits to our Museum will be dedicated to the figure of lawyer Giuseppe Giulio Lorenzo Henry, the Company's first General Manager and manager of yesteryear, the mind behind the mutual insurance company project we know today and which Carlo Felice, who signed the Company's first policy back in 1828, once loved so much.
The thematic visits will take place on Sunday 19 September from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. (with last admission at 5.30 p.m.); no booking is required and, as always, they will be free and completely accessible.
At the end of the tour, visitors will receive a booklet entitled "The Common Good. Insieme di più!", written for Reale Mutua by Fabio Geda on the occasion of La Notte degli Archivi 2017, taking inspiration from the solidarity machine set in motion, according to the mutualistic spirit, by Director Henry to help the victims of the very serious fire in the French town of Sallanches, in 1840.
We look forward to seeing you there!
